Favorite thing about emergency medicine: Helping under-served communities, mix of high and low acuity patients, and working within an awesome team (ER peeps are always the coolest)
Why Kaweah for residency: Amazing physicians to learn from who are super approachable, immediately felt at home within the team as a rotator, appreciative patients, great pathology/trauma, one-of-a-kind experience practicing EM as we are the only shop in town
Favorite day-off activities: Fishing (bass and fly), hiking, traveling, and trying new recipes with my fiance
Previous life before medicine: Worker as a custom crate builder in NYC, managed a plastic fabrication company in the SF Bay area, taught high school chemistry in Long Beach
Future goals and dreams: Travel as much as I can and eat all the foods!!!

Best meal you’ve eaten: My grandmother’s paella and my mom’s eggplant parmigiana
