Favorite thing about emergency medicine: I like the acuity, the patient mix, the excellent work-life balance, and the scope and frequency of procedures. But most importantly, I like leaving the hospital with the feeling that I did something that mattered, every day
Favorite day-off activities: Videogames, going to the range, building things, binge watching Netflix
Future goals/dreams: Learn to fly small planes, travel to every continent (commercially/not in a small plane), not get sued
Best meal you’ve eaten: The best meal I ever had was while visiting my great grandfather’s hometown in Torre Di Palme, Italy, where I tried veal for the first time or, as it was described to me then, “meat from a cow that has not yet been pregnant, and served with a little bit of blood.”
Favorite book: The Great Gatsby
Favorite movie: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Special interests within emergency medicine: Airways, research and evidence based practice, prehospital medicine
Interesting fact about yourself: I was a DJ before med school
