Previous life before medicine: I had many unique opportunities and pursuits prior to medical school. I am most proud of my research in dengue fever prevention in Central America, the 8 years I spent working as a lab manager and medical provider for the US Antarctic Program, and my time as a medic and fleet mechanic for UC Health in Northern Colorado
Future goals and dreams: Live with my daughter and great dane in a barndominium in the Rocky Mountains, provide rural emergency medical care and own/operate a specialized automotive shop
Best place you’ve traveled: My favorite place to travel is a sleepy little surf town on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica
Best meal you’ve eaten: Fresh shrimp and mussels that my friends and I caught/collected while on a multi-day sea kayaking trip in Alaska
