Favorite thing about emergency medicine: The high acuity and various pathologies make this specialty challenging and dynamic. Most of all, the inclusivity and underserved patients seen in the ED make emergency medicine very rewarding
Why Kaweah for residency: I chose Kaweah Health because of the community, wonderful faculty, residents, and the proximity to home. I have always been passionate about serving disadvantaged patients from various backgrounds and I believe that Kaweah will prepare me well for this and more!
Favorite day-off activities: A nice hike, workout, or a delicious cheat day meal
Previous life before medicine: I was an AmeriCorps health educator, delivery driver, and a Spanish tutor!
Future goals and dreams: Have lots of dogs
