Favorite thing about emergency medicine: Every day is different from the last, and that variety keeps you engaged and on your toes
Why Kaweah for residency: I get to provide world-class care for a diverse population all while being an hour from the mountains.
Favorite day-off activities: Anything that gets me outside, from gardening in the backyard to backpacking in the Sierras.
Previous life before medicine? No, but I minored in dance in college.
Future goals and dreams: Mostly travel related: hike the John Muir Trail, go to Nepal, learn to windsurf
Best place you’ve traveled: Hawaii is a classic and never gets old. I love that you can start your day on a volcano and end it on the beach.
Best meal you’ve eaten: Well, not to brag or anything, but that 10 course meal I had at the French Laundry was pretty dang good.
Favorite book: Harry Potter. Those books are like the comfort food of literature.
Favorite movie: Mean Girls. Still trying to make “fetch” happen
Favorite quote or words to live by:Â “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
Special interests within emergency medicine: Health technology
Random fact about yourself: My current New York Times crossword streak is 164 days.
