Favorite thing about emergency medicine: Ability to provide the highest level of acute care without concern for insurance, ability to pay, circumstance or background. Emergency physicians are often first line in diagnosis of new disease for the patient and are conduits for proper patient follow up, continued in-house care and advocacy for the proper disposition of patients. Emergency medicine requires interdisciplinary balance between pharmacy, nursing and respiratory therapy to provide timely and efficient care that, when paired with great personalities and humility, can create a welcoming atmosphere to work and strive for the best patient outcomes.
Favorite day-off activities:Â Sleeping
Previous life before medicine: I’m a 34 year old intern. I’ve had numerous previous lives and I believe I’m on my 5th of 9 lives
Best place you’ve traveled: Ha Noi, Viet Nam. It’s my second home
Best meal you’ve eaten: Bun Bo Hue, while in central Hue at 5am. That’s really the only place and time to eat it
