Why Kaweah for residency:Â Lots of procedures from day one. Supportive attendings, residents, and staff. Location is only 3 hours away from home
Favorite day-off activities:Â Catching up on sleep, wine-tasting, cooking, ice cream making, traveling
Previous life before medicine:Â I was going to be an optometrist. Actually got accepted to optometry school before making the switch!
Future goals and dreams:Â Work abroad and help set up clinics/ERs. A little bit of teaching and research dedicated to community and social medicine
Best place you’ve traveled: Japan: Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Went with classmates the summer between 1st and 2nd year of med school to Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, and Japan. Japan had amazing food and culture
Best meal you’ve eaten: Maido in Lima, Peru. It is Peruvian-Japanese cuisine. Runner up is Alinea in Chicago
