about us
Our Program
We are a three-year ACGME-accredited emergency medicine residency based out of a busy community hospital. We are affiliated with USC and serve as a training site for third-year core rotations for their medical students.
Our ED sees more than 90,000 patients yearly as we are in the unique position of being the only hospital in our city and the only trauma and STEMI center for a catchment area of nearly 500,000 people.Â
Our History
Our program began in 2013 as one of the inaugural residency programs in the hospital. Since that time, the GME program has grown to six residency programs and two fellowships.
The residents and faculty that comprise the emergency medicine residency have a long history of service and leadership in the hospital and in our community.Â
Our Mission
To educate compassionate, skilled emergency physicians who apply evidence-based care and advocate for a diverse population. Ready to be everyone’s doctor, all the time.
