Favorite thing about emergency medicine: Getting to help anyone that comes through the door, being intrigued by the undiagnosed patient, the fast pace and workflow of the department, procedures, and shift work
Why Kaweah for residency: Kaweah has a very strong curriculum, incredible pathology and amazing sense of community, and I get to serve a large Spanish-Speaking population, basically, excellent training in a family-like environment
Favorite day-off activities: Going on long hikes, going to beach, spending time with family
Previous life before medicine: Kinda, I had a lot of gigs in the restaurant industry and then jumped into clinical research
Future goals/dreams: I want to travel up and down Latin America
Best place you’ve traveled: Puerto Rico
Best meal you’ve eaten: Homemade Spicy Enchiladas Verdes topped with queso fresco, onions and avocado
