Hometown: Houston, TX
Undergraduate school: Our Lady of the Lake University
Undergraduate major: Biology

Favorite thing about emergency medicine: I love that EM allows me to see all patient demographics. I also appreciate the acuity of patient care and look forward to being a master of procedures. I had many interests during medical school and ultimately felt like emergency medicine would allow me to see a diverse patient population with a large variety of pathologies
Why Kaweah for residency:I felt like I would be supported here and welcomed with open arms. It is a district hospital with a large catchment area, so this will allow for exposure and many learning opportunities. I am also interested in helping serve underserved communities
Favorite day-off activities: I like to get dressed up and go out to eat on my days off. I also enjoy visiting the beach or hanging out by a pool
Previous life before medicine: I always knew I wanted to be a doctor and went straight to medical school after graduating undergrad. I was a student-athlete during undergrad, participating in both track & field and cross country
Future goals/dreams: My future dream is to master the art of emergency medicine
Best place you’ve traveled: Grenada, West Indies
Best meal you’ve eaten: Any African or Soul Food dishes
If you could be a contestant on any game show (past or present), what would you choose? American Idol
Favorite book: I know how to bake the perfect cookie
Favorite movie: Hitch (can’t go wrong with a rom-com)
Favorite quotes or words you live by: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” -Romans 8:28
Special interests within emergency medicine: I am interested in community outreach programs, global medicine, diversity initiatives and patient advocacy
Random fact about yourself: I love to sing, hang out with friends/family, and I listen to podcast regularly
