Favorite thing about emergency medicine: A few of my favorite things are my colleagues, the patients, the procedures, and being able to be a part of getting people the care the need no matter circumstance
Why Kaweah for residency:Â I choose Kaweah for residency because I was inspired by the attendings/residents that I meet and knew it would be a place that I would be able to grow into the type of provider I wanted to become. I also loved the amount of hands on experience you get
Favorite day-off activities:Â Going to the movies, hanging out with family, and traveling
Previous life before medicine:Â I worked at church in Louisiana for close to 7 years where I did many different roles (wedding coordinating, teaching, cleaning floors, etc.). It was an amazing experience that taught me a lot about leadership and getting jobs that seem impossible done.
Future goals and dreams:Â I hope to be able to be an emergency medicine physician that works in advocacy/social EM to help the communities I serve get access to better healthcare
