Favorite thing about emergency medicine:Â The variety, pace, and mixture of medicine and procedural skills
Why Kaweah for residency:Â I rotated here as a medical student, and I loved it! The residents seemed genuinely happy, and the faculty was supportive and dedicated to teaching. I was also very impressed with the robust training that comes from this high-volume, high-acuity ED with such a large catchment area and diverse undeserved patient population
Favorite day-off activities:Â Hiking, snowboarding, music, cooking, reading, exploring coffee shops, board games
Future goals and dreams:Â Travel more, visit more national parks, experience other cultures
Favorite place you’ve traveled: Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada
Favorite book:Â Harry Potter
Useless talents or party tricks:Â I’m a rage cage master (Ask Christian — I successfully put him in the cage!)
Special interests within emergency medicine:Â Social EM, Medical Education
Random fact about yourself: When I was first learning how to snowboard, I accidentally went down a black diamond… and survived to tell the tale!
